# How PrediX Works

#### Quick overview <a href="#quick-overview" id="quick-overview"></a>

Predix is a prediction-market platform where **users create and trade markets based on real‑world events** (crypto, sports, politics, global trends). Markets are tradable collections of *Yes / No* (or other outcome) tokens. Liquidity determines odds and users can enter, exit or place limit orders. Rewards are automatically distributed at market settlement.

#### 1) Before you start — connect your wallet <a href="#id-1-before-you-start-connect-your-wallet" id="id-1-before-you-start-connect-your-wallet"></a>

**Step 1 — Connect Web3 wallet**

* Users must connect a Web3 wallet (MetaMask or any EVM compatible wallet).
* **Add BNB Chain Testnet (Chain ID 97)** to your wallet using Chainlist: [https://chainid.network/chain/97](https://chainlist.org/chain/97)
  * This ensures you’re on the correct testnet for Predix testing.

**Step 2 — Get test tokens**

* Predix supports trading in testnet **tBNB** and test **PDX**.
* To obtain test PDX: claim from our faucet: <https://gopredix.xyz/faucetPDX>
* If you need tBNB, ask for `tbnb` in `#faucet` on our Discord and an admin will send tokens.

> Tip: Always confirm your wallet network is set to BNB Testnet (Chain ID 97) before interacting with Predix.

#### 2) Creating a market <a href="#id-2-creating-a-market" id="id-2-creating-a-market"></a>

Users can create markets for events across categories (crypto, sports, politics, global trends). Creating a market involves:

**2.1 Market details**

* **Title / Question** — a concise, unambiguous question (e.g. "Will BTC close above $115,000 on 2025-12-31?").
* **Outcome options** — typical markets are `Yes / No`, but you can create other discrete outcomes when needed.
* **Closing time** — timestamp when the market stops accepting trades and predictions.
* **Resolution source** — a clearly stated, verifiable source (PrediX's Native oracle).
* **Initial liquidity & expected profit** — creator can seed the market with an initial liquidity pool and optionally indicate an expected payout range.

**2.2 Two Level Validator check**

* When a user submits a new market, Predix’s **Basic Validator** reviews the question to ensure if the format of the question is right and then it forwards to **advanced validator** to check if it’s **appropriate and resolvable** for creating market
* It checks whether the event is :
  * Is the event verifiable?
  * Is it time‑bounded and clearly resolvable?
  * Is it non‑offensive and within platform rules?
* If the validator approves the market can be created and liquidity can be added. If rejected the creator will receive feedback on why it was declined.

***

#### 3) Market creation & liquidity <a href="#id-3-market-creation-and-liquidity" id="id-3-market-creation-and-liquidity"></a>

Once the validator approves:

* The creator (or other users) **adds liquidity** by depositing tBNB or PDX into the market pool. Liquidity mints YES and NO tokens in proportion to the pool.
* **Trading starts immediately** after sufficient liquidity is added.
* **Odds (prices)** for YES and NO are derived from the pool balance; adding or removing liquidity shifts the odds.

***

#### 4) Trading mechanics <a href="#id-4-trading-mechanics" id="id-4-trading-mechanics"></a>

**4.1 Buying YES/NO tokens**

* Traders buy YES or NO tokens against the market pool.
* Each trade changes the ratio of YES/NO tokens and therefore changes the market odds.

**4.2 Slippage**

* **Slippage** is the difference between the expected price and the executed price due to pool price impact.
* Users can set an acceptable slippage tolerance in the trade UI. If execution would exceed that tolerance, the trade will fail.

**4.3 Limit orders**

* Predix supports **limit orders**: users can place an order to buy/sell a YES/NO token at a target price.
* When the market reaches that price and liquidity is available, the limit order executes.

**4.4 Cash-out (Book profit / loss)**

* Users can **cash out at any time** before market close by selling their YES/NO tokens back to the pool.
* Cashing out locks in profit or loss at that moment — you don’t need to wait until settlement.

**4.5 Upcoming Feature — Leverage Trading**

Predix will soon introduce **leverage trading** within prediction markets. Users will be able to take amplified positions on YES/NO outcomes using predefined leverage levels. This feature will allow higher risk–reward trades while maintaining platform safeguards. More details will be added once the feature is live.

***

#### 5) Market settlement & rewards <a href="#id-5-market-settlement-and-rewards" id="id-5-market-settlement-and-rewards"></a>

**5.1 Market close**

* At the market’s **closing time**, trading stops.
* Predix verifies the result via its **native oracle integration**, which provides real‑time, tamper‑proof resolution data.

**5.2 Distribution of rewards**

* After verification, the market is resolved and **winners receive rewards directly to their wallet**.

#### 6) Portfolio, leaderboard & user metrics, leaderboard & user metrics <a href="#id-6-portfolio-leaderboard-and-user-metrics-leaderboard-and-user-metrics" id="id-6-portfolio-leaderboard-and-user-metrics-leaderboard-and-user-metrics"></a>

Users can monitor their activity and performance within Predix:

* **Portfolio** — lists open positions, token balances (YES/NO) per market, realised/unrealised P\&L.
* **Leaderboard** — ranks users by Predix Score or other metrics (total P\&L , volume).
* **Metrics & Analytics** — each user can view:
  * PNL
  * Volume traded
  * Historical performance over time

These stats help users track progress and aim for higher rewards and reputation

More Metrics will be implemented once we launch Predix Points

## &#x20;NEW FEATURES&#x20;

#### **7) Market Listing & Buying Markets**

Market creators earn 75% of all platform fees from their market. PrediX lets creators **sell ownership** of their market at any time. When someone buys it, the **buyer gets all future 75% fees** from that market forever.

**7.1 Listing your market (for creators)**

* List your market for sale anytime through the PrediX marketplace
* Set your own price based on how much fees it's making
* Your market keeps running normally while listed for sale
* When sold, you get the full sale price immediately

**7.2 Buying a market**

* Browse listed markets in the marketplace
* Buy any market you want by paying the creator's asking price
* **You instantly own that market and get 100% of its future 75% platform fees**
* The original creator gets paid once; you collect fees forever after

**7.3 Simple example**

```
Creator makes Market A → earns 75% fees daily
Creator lists Market A for $100
You buy Market A for $100 → creator gets $100
Now YOU get all future 75% fees from Market A forever
```

**7.4 Why do this?**

* **Creators**: Cash out your market's value anytime
* **Buyers**: Buy proven markets and earn passive fees forever
* Markets never stop working during buying/selling

#### **9) Dispute Voting System**

PrediX's Dispute Voting lets anyone challenge market resolutions if they believe the oracle got it wrong. Stake BNB to vote and potentially earn rewards from the losing side.

**9.1 How Dispute Voting Works**

**Step 1: Create or Vote on Dispute**\
When a market resolves, anyone can challenge it by creating a dispute. You can also vote on existing disputes.

* **Minimum stake**: 0.01 BNB (create dispute) | 0.001 BNB (vote)

**Step 2: Stake-Based Voting**\
Vote **ACCEPT** (resolution is wrong) or **REJECT** (resolution is correct).

* Your stake determines your influence
* Higher stake = More voting power + Bigger potential reward

**Step 3: Winners Take All**\
After **3 days**, the side with more total stake wins:

* Winners share the losing side's stakes (5% platform fee)
* **Winners**: Get original stake back + profit
* **Losers**: Lose 100% of their stake

**9.2 Simple Example**

```
textMarket: "Will Bitcoin hit $100k by Dec 15?"
Oracle Resolution: NO
Dispute Created: "Bitcoin hit $100,001 at 11:58 PM!"
Voting Results:
ACCEPT (Resolution Wrong): 0.15 BNB total
REJECT (Resolution Correct): 0.05 BNB total
Outcome: ✅ ACCEPT WINS (0.15 > 0.05)
Losing pool: 0.05 BNB
Platform fee (5%): 0.0025 BNB
Winners share: 0.0475 BNB
Your vote (0.03 BNB on ACCEPT):
Your share: (0.03/0.15) × 0.0475 = 0.0095 BNB profit
Total received: 0.03 + 0.0095 = 0.0395 BNB (+31.7% profit)
```

**9.3 Key Rules**

* **Voting period**: 3 days after dispute creation
* **One vote per person** per dispute
* **Higher stakes = more influence**
* **Winners determined by total BNB staked**
* **Claim rewards** after voting ends

**9.4 If You Win**

* Get your original stake back
* Receive share of losers' stakes (minus 5% fee)
* Potential returns: **20-200%+ profit**

**9.5 If You Lose**

* Lose your **ENTIRE stake** (100% loss)
* No refunds or partial returns
* Your stake goes to winners

**⚠️ Pro Tips**

* Only vote when you're **confident** with proof
* Higher stakes = higher rewards but higher risk
* Always research before staking
* Check timestamps, sources, and oracle data
